The Cyber Patient Safety Symposium 2026 will take place October 27–28 at Scripps Seaside Forum on the UC San Diego campus in La Jolla.

Venue Location
8610 Kennel Way
La Jolla, CA 92037
Parking at Scripps Seaside Forum is extremely limited. Select the option that best fits your visit and allow extra time each morning.
Getting Here
Parking immediately surrounding Scripps Seaside Forum is extremely limited. Attendees are strongly encouraged to use ride-share, public transportation, hotel transportation or another alternative to driving directly to the venue.
Ride-share is the simplest option for reaching the venue. Enter Scripps Seaside Forum, 8610 Kennel Way, La Jolla, CA 92037 as your destination. Use the designated passenger-loading area and follow posted instructions when meeting your driver.
UC San Diego does not offer an automatic public ride-share discount. Any event-funded Uber voucher will be distributed directly to eligible attendees before the symposium.
San Diego International Airport (SAN) is the primary commercial airport serving La Jolla. Ride-share and taxi services are available from the airport and are generally the simplest options for reaching hotels near the symposium.
Confirm transportation between your hotel and Scripps Seaside Forum before traveling. Hotel service to the central UC San Diego campus does not necessarily include the oceanfront venue.
Take the UC San Diego Blue Line Trolley to UC San Diego Central Campus Station. From there, walk to the Gilman Transit Center south stop and board the free SIO Shuttle toward Scripps Institution of Oceanography. Exit at the SIO Forum/Beach stop.
The SIO Shuttle generally operates every 30 minutes during weekday service. Allow extra time because vehicles may fill during busy periods.
Plan your evening return: Regular weekday SIO Shuttle service ends at approximately 6 p.m. Attendees staying through the Tuesday evening reception should arrange ride-share, taxi, hotel transportation or another return option.
Instead of driving directly to Scripps Seaside Forum, visitors may park in a marked V space at Gilman Parking Structure on central campus and connect with the SIO Shuttle at Gilman Transit Center. A valid visitor parking permit is required.
Visitor parking can be purchased through ParkMobile using the zone posted at the parking space. The general academic-campus visitor zone is 4752. Always follow the signage at the space where you park.
Where to Stay
The symposium does not have an official hotel room block. Attendees are responsible for arranging and paying for their own accommodations.
The following hotels provide convenient access to UC San Diego or may offer preferred rates to eligible UC San Diego visitors. Rates, discounts and availability are controlled by each hotel and may change. Confirm all taxes, fees, parking charges and cancellation policies before reserving.
