Recognizing leadership, research and partnership in healthcare cybersecurity

The Center for Healthcare Cybersecurity honors the faculty, students, advisors and partners whose work advances cyber resilience and protects patient care. These awards recognize the people and organizations helping move healthcare cybersecurity from technical concern to patient safety mission.

Award Categories

  • MSR Award for Graduate Student of the Year recognizes a graduate student whose research, technical excellence and collaboration have made a meaningful contribution to the Center’s work.
  • Lodestar Award recognizes a leader, advisor or strategic partner who has helped guide the Center’s direction and growth.
  • Geoffan Award for Outstanding Achievement of Faculty honors outstanding faculty achievement, research leadership, mentorship and impact.
  • Catalyst Award for Partnerships recognizes an external partner whose collaboration has helped accelerate the Center’s mission and real-world impact.

Seoyoung Kweon is a PhD student in Computer Science and Engineering at UC San Diego and a member of the Center’s student research community. Her work supports CHC’s mission to better understand healthcare cyber disruption and strengthen cyber resilience for patient care.
