Why healthcare cybersecurity?

As more electronic health systems and medical devices become interconnected, clinical workflows, patient outcomes, and patient safety can be improved. However, the cyber threat landscape significantly increases and must be addressed. Delayed patient care is unacceptable, as lives are at stake. Healthcare is critical infrastructure, and it requires adequate resources to implement robust cybersecurity, risk management, and business continuity programs.
