BD Joins UC San Diego’s Center for Healthcare Cybersecurity to Advance Patient Safety and Health System Resilience

San Diego, Calif., October 21, 2025 -- The UC San Diego Center for Healthcare Cybersecurity (CHC) is pleased to welcome BD (Becton, Dickinson and Company) as its newest member, joining a growing network of industry partners committed to strengthening cybersecurity and safeguarding patient care.

As a Center member, BD’s Product Security team will work closely with Center faculty researchers on impactful applied cybersecurity research initiatives and provide leadership on the Center Advisory Board, helping to shape long-term goals and objectives for the Center’s tripartite mission of research, education, and innovation across the healthcare cybersecurity domain. Members also support workforce development programs, foster a pipeline of cybersecurity talent, and gain visibility through high-profile events advancing the field.
