Laura Dilly Stephens, MD
Laura Dilly Stephens is an Associate Clinical Professor of Pathology in the Division of Laboratory and Genomic Medicine at UC San Diego.  She graduated from the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine, completed her clinical pathology residency training at UC San Diego, and did her Blood Bank/Transfusion Medicine fellowship at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. Laura serves as the Associate Director of Clinical Laboratories and Associate Medical Director of Transfusion Medicine at UC San Diego.  Her published research spans topics from hemolytic anemias to the use of large language models in transfusion medicine. 
Healthcare cybersecurity incidents can significantly impair clinical operations and jeopardize patient safety.  I am particularly focused on strengthening the security posture of clinical laboratories to protect the integrity, accessibility, and confidentiality of both patient and laboratory data.
